Post-Master’s Certificate in Writing Enrichment

Miss your Spalding MFA days? The School offers two 15-credit-hour, one-semester Post-master’s Certificates:

• the Post-master’s Certificate in Writing Enrichment lets you study creative writing in any genre.
• the Post-master’s Certificate in the Teaching of Creative Writing can give you an advantage when seeking teaching positions.

Both certificates begin with a residency (either on campus in May or November, or virtually in June), followed by independent study with a Spalding MFA faculty mentor.

Alumni of the Naslund-Mann School, as well as graduates of other programs holding the PhD, MFA, or MA with creative writing thesis, may enroll. Contact Karen Mann for application information.

School of Writing alumni qualify for a $2,000 tuition discount. Additional financial aid may be available. Alums may take the certificate for a boost to their artistic development or as a useful credential for career advancement.
